Newbie Looking for Help/Recommendations

Hello All--

Have been looking for a site like this for a long time, and very happy to be here.

Was hoping that if I posted a few of the 80's bands I like, that perhaps some of you could make recommendations of other groups I may have missed out on. Here's a list of some of my favorite groups:

Though somewhat self serving, based on that list, I SERIOUSLY recommend you check out the first album from Del Amitri (it's a self-serving post 'cuz my record label just reissued it - but hey - I'm disclosing that). You seem to like intelligent power pop

Oooooohhh. . . MADNESS! Yippy! The Go Gos opened for them. That's one reason why I like them. Also, they were greeatt.
