CFNY reunion afterthoughts

Postby British » Sun Nov 16, 2003 8:48 am

I had a hell of a time. Well worth the airfare and hotel costs.

What made the trip worth it was meeting good 'ol M+M. Mark Gane and Martha Johnson.

I was just standing around in the back and I saw this guy who looked really familiar. It was Mark! I chatted it up with him for a bit, and after he and Martha played, I decided to take the opportunity of a lifetime. I went up to Martha and she said "you're from Minnesota!". Obviously Mark mentioned me to her beforehand. I was beyond flattered.

Also shook hands with Carole Pope(standing next to Mark Staples) and she was well, uh, less than enthusiastic.

Later on M+M were just standing there enjoying the concert like I was. Actually, I was in pain from walknig up and down Yonge street the day before.

Forgot to pick up my CD-ROMs, but oh well. 2 days later I walked right by porn star Ron Jeremy. ALl sortsa celebs in this town!

Nope. WOuld not have recognized them if i had seen them. Did mistake another band member(forgot their name) for Martha Johnson. They look like sisters.
