"Borderline" NewWave Songs on 80's Stations....

Another borderline song that WLIR seemed to play quite a bit that was New Wave was Stacey Q's "Two Of Hearts" which was a great song.

Wouldn't "Doug And The Slugs" be another 80's band that sort of jumped on the New Wave bandwagon at the time? They seemed to have more of a "Huey Lewis And The News" style,more than anything else,but songs like "Too Bad" and "Real Enough" seemed to get th

I guess that one can say that the band who did the original version of the song "Funkytown" Lipps Inc,was sort of on the borderline between funky New Wave,with a synthesizer, and the going out of Disco music.Also, I would add "Ray Parker Jr. to this list,

I think the reason Madonna and Prince and even to an extent Michael Jackson made it onto new music play lists is because the music was dance oriented and was being played in the new music clubs too. I remember dancing to "Burning Up", and "Little Red Cor
