Second Time Around

Postby Dave » Sat Feb 21, 2004 11:51 am

Was wondering about this today - can you think of artists that managed to succeed with a *second* band during the new wave years?

Mick Jones - Clash & Big Audio Dynamite
Johnny Lydon - Sex Pistols & Public Image Ltd.
Annie Lennox - Tourists & Eurythmics
Vince Clark - Depeche Mode & Yaz & Erasure

I guess Joy Division/New Order, Smiths/Morrissey are examples too, but there must be others???

bpdp3, you're thinking of Tony James from Generation X / SS Sputnik, not Brian James from the Damned. Brian James went on to be in Lords Of The New Church with Stive Bators of The Dead Boys, and members of Sham 69 and The Barracudas.

Bob Mould: Husker
