Yeah, Golden Earring - Twilight Zone is tight

But I will go with Scorpions, hmm hard to pick which song from them, let's say "Rhythm of Love", these guys were just awesome!

I would have to say hands down the best 80's rock song is We're Not Ganna Take It by Twisted Sister. I think it has held up well and lyrically is quite inspiring.

The sun never sets for those who ride into it.

I dot'know if it's my best not wave song of the '80's but the 1st title comin' in my mind is DIRTY LAUNDRY of Don Henley...

I agree with all who have mentioned AC/DC's Shook Me All Night Long. It was a great song.

I'm not embarassed to say that I could listen to Lita Ford's Kiss Me Deadly a few hundred times & not get sick of it...

To me the rockinest in the 80's was Van Halen's "Fair Warning" Album. That whole album rocked! "Mean Streets", "Sinner's Swing", "Hear about it Later", "So this is Love", (I can't pick one song) I can still listen to it from beginning to end.

Motors, you are right about Rush fans in high school. They were the grungiest burnouts. I saw Rush play once and I had seats on the side of the stage close to Neil Pert. Man can that guy drum!

This was a time when Metallica was actually awesome[}:)] Megadeth were decent too, but I suppose there's a bit of a distinction between Hard Rock and Heavy Metal...[?] In which case toss another vote for Guns 'N Roses. I also liked Faith No More[}:)]

Same here. Great cover, too. My first Van Halen album, and my mom broke it up and threw it away with all my AC/DC albums, as soon as she heard Diamond Dave sing "She looked so F-N good, so sexy and so frail...". Ug.

It's abscence here means that either no one else considers it rock, or no one else considers it that good, but I've always stated that Robert Palmer's "Addicted To Love" is the single best rock song of all time.
