Ekahob - I was also at Roxy Music at the Paramount. I knew Rob at Vintage Vinyl and hung out there often too. I know what you mean about how things change when kids arrive. I saw Bowie (my longtime favorite.) at Roseland when I was 8 months pregnant

Mare: "Early Club" in my references was clubs I went to before Turning 20, I didn't mean they opened early or anything like that, sorry for not being clear!! :)
I don't recall the exact years of the NJ Drinking age but I thought by 82 it was back up t

Blaster I was at SHU from 1979 - 1983. I have that same Joan Jett record. Did you see her at Englander's in Hillside when she toured for that record? Sh

I guess most of you are from the NYC area of NJ but there was a very cool club in Trenton called City Gardens (aka King Tut's City Gardens). In the early 80s I say Billy Idol, The Dead Kennedy's, and AFOS there. What a rockin place. DJ night on Thursda

I remember the ads for City Gardens and thinking that it seemed like a cool place, but I've never been there.

I was at the Joan Jett at Englander's show. Also remember seeing the Fast there. I think Ekahob, you and I must have seen each other we were at so many of the same shows. I'll have to find a photo and have someone scan it.

Michelle: Yes!! I went to all those places, King Tuts Wah Wah and Alcatraz and is the other one you're thinking of: The Skrap Bar? I liked that place the best, it had such a rock 'n roll edge and they had every flavor of Schnapp's you could imagine. That'
