Two excellent French artists, possibly more Hi-NRG or Euro than New Wave,

Do Piano 'Again' was a big club hit in France & the rest of Europe in the mid 80s

As was the brilliant Rose Laurens 'American Love'

it seems people in France still remember and love the good old 80's Eurodisco of Debut De Soiree with their song Nuit De Folie.

Some will call it cheesy, but I wish I was at those events, it looks like a great party atmosphere and catchy tunes, and as a non-French speaker I still try to sing along to that song [:D]

here is 80's original

and here is Desireless - Voyage Voyage from the same Retro show. She looks older, but song still sounds as great as it did in the 80's

Speaking of French 80s/synthpop: I just picked up some strange cd called "Bipp"(or something like that), it's a black covered cd, says it's French New Wave/Synth pop from 79-85......

My votes goes to wonderful Mylene Farmer, for new wavers Telephone (listen to the song "Un autre monde", for instance)
[/quote]

by the way Mylene Farmer recently put out new single called Lonely Lisa (composed and produced by RedOne, who seems to be everywhere nowadays). [:D]
