firefall mentioned Spliff. Although not one of my favorite bands (but then I'm only familiar with one album, so who am I to say), "Carbonara" is one of my favorite songs by anybody. The A-side, "Deja Vu," is great, too. Also got a BAP album tucked away somewhere that has a really killer song on it, but damned if I can remember what it's called. Not that I could spell or pronounce what it's called even if I could remember...

Hey, any band who has the, well, balls to write a song called "Balls to the Wall" is important in [i]every[/i] forum. I dare you to find me a better German heavy metal outfit fronted by a gay hobbit!

Plus, I think their 1985 album (the one with "Midnight Mover") had some new wave influences -- as did the records of a lot of metal bands who were on MTV in the mid-80s.

Good album, but like SomebodySomewhere I am only familar with the one album, my favorite track is "Notausgang" and the rest is OK but nothing to rave about.

I only have the U.S. language version under the title, "Emergency Exit."

Thanks to the internet, the BAP album I couldn't remember the name of is "Vun drinne noh drusse." The song, "Nit fur Kooche (Teil 2)." I'm sure you guys won't have any trouble remembering that, 'cause who doesn't like a fur kooche?
