Friends Again - ‎State Of Art 12"

Postby Jim2 » Sat Aug 10, 2013 7:01 am

Has anyone ever heard of this Scotish band Friends Again? I was entering more of my vinyl collection into Discogs (an ongoing "near-life-long" project) and I was surprised that their first 12" Sate Of Art is worth more than my copy of The Cure's The Wish on vinyl. The highest a copy has previously sold was $112.26. I don't remember how I acquired this but I may have bought it brand new as it is in almost new unplayed condition.

I agree, it is a great song, but what makes it so valuable?

Most likely that at some point it became sought after by Spanish collectors.

Unfortunately, State of art is the only good song by Friends Again. A one hit wonder in our country.

I would really like a rip of the extended and instrumental versions of State Of Art. Anyone able to point me in the right direction ?

I've got a turntable set up but with my 2004 Dell laptop runing WindowsXP on a Pentium 4 at 2.4mhz and 500mb memory, none of the recording software I've tried has been able to work. Sorry.
