unreleased mixes - should they have been?

i know the 'heaven' single from frazier chorus
was very controversial and got pulled, both the
7" and 12", although i have both.

they were decent mixes.

frazier chorus - heaven (godlike mix)
--------------------------------------
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSHYm15oDRc

they are available now (and all their other
singles and promo mixes)
------------------------------------------
http://www.amazon.com/Heaven-Frazier-Ch ... ier+chorus

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

there were several mixes of depeche mode - it's no good by 'bt',
----------------
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntbNkkHLeDo

these never got released. same with the deep dish mixes of freelove
----------------
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7qVmuWoyIU

these were on OFFICIAL releases at some point in time,
the bt mix was on a mix cd too.

ok, so maybe they aren't 80's songs, but are there others
for 80's groups, or did most of them get released??

besides the obvious like banned ones
----------------------------------------------------
dead or alive - something in my house xxx mixes, etc.

i know there are ton of BOOTLEG mixes, but that's not
what i mean. like the bogus brothers mixes of little 15.

and of course popular groups like erasure, depeche mode,
bjork, and pet shop boys get picked for most of them. because they usually
have tons of mixes for their songs.

another mix that was like that were the ferry corsten
remixes of 'u2 - two hearts beat as one', these were
excellent trancey mixes, and were not released until
the deluxe version of war came out:
=======================================================
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9sU7b2S9XU

i met ferry corsten at a festival, and he said he was
frustrated because u2 was going to have a remix album,
which is why he made the mixes. edge finally said they
were going to put them out, and the came out on the
remastered war, and finally people got to hear it.
so he was very happy and relieved to be recognized.
========================================================

i'm sure there are other ones out there.

like omd - forever live and die
-------------------------------
http://www.discogs.com/Orchestral-Manoe ... se/2402495

originally, the mix by john potoker wasn't as good,
said the band, so they recalled it, and put out another
by tom lord-alge later.
--------------------------------------------------------

i think it doesn't sound that bad. also, i think this
remix finally made it out on cd.

Adam ant - Vive le rock
The Smiths - Heaven knows I'm miserable now
Madness - Michael Caine
Vicious pink - My private Tokyo
Thompson twins - Roll over
Erasure - Heavenly action
Hall and oates - Kiss on my list

The above had various mixes/versions that were unreleased commercially in the UK upon release.

I guess there will be others......

The Erasure mix was "The Yellow brick" mix which was mixed by joseph watt of razormaid.......it was withdrawn in the UK,but I do believe it was sanctioned for release in the US under a different name.

As for the Smiths there was only one official proper 12" extended mix release and that was the NY FK remix of "this charming man" which morrissey detested and vowed he would never have an extended 12" mix on any future single release.
