The Bangles gig and release news

Postby Frau_Blucher » Sat Jun 07, 2014 10:31 pm

Went last night to see them at Capo's Coach House almost on a lark because some friends wanted to go. Glad i did because they blew the whole crowd away. They wowed by first playing their original 7" Getting Out Of Hand then kept amazing us by sprinkling in their first EP tracks - I'm In Line and Real World (sick!) then I want You and Mary street later and finally closed the encore with How Is The Air Up There. I was in disbelief that i finally got to see these incredible songs. On top of the good music, none of us could believe how great the 55 year old Susanna Hoffs looked. Not sure how its possible - not good for her age but just flat out stunning period. At some point they hinted at a release later in the year that will cover their singles, the EP and demos. That will be awesome.

Nice! Another gig I wish I would have been at. I think the heartfelt "I’ll Never Be Through With You" from 2011 is one of the best things they've ever done.

I gotta say that a couple of new tracks they previewed sounded great.
