YMO (Yellow Magic Orchestra) member and solo artist Ryuichi Sakamoto has been diagnosed with throat cancer and has halted his musical projects to concentrate on this problem:

Shocked to hear this. I was listening to my YMO 45's just last night.

He collaborated with Roddy Frame in Dreamland. Hope he survive this.
