Simple minds - Sparkle in the Rain (Fanmixes)

Book of brilliant things is one of my all time favorite songs,
and so when loudery, and derek forbes and mick macneil
redid it, i thought it would be cool.

unfortunately, i don't like the lady doing the vocals,
and same with the current live version. but there
were some dubs and new instrumentals on there.

also, i've never liked the 'slow' version they used
since live in the city of lights. ugh.

anyways, there was a cool orchestral version,
which actually didn't sound that bad, come to think of it.

so, i've been messing around with the different tracks from
the bluray, and took the vocals from the song, and added
them here, with some adjustments.

it came out pretty decent:

check it out, and see what you think.

i'll be working on another blog, with a lot more tracks from the new sparkle
in the rain releases. it's going to take some time, because there's a lot to
go through.

but i thought this was too cool. there's a couple more 'disco' type mixes
i'm working on also.

ok, i have managed to remove some of the clicks and beats from the vocals,
and cleaned it up a little. i will post a new link at some point.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i'm happy to say, that i have been poring through the first side of the album,
and have some rough cuts of the first 5 tracks laid out.

they are pretty massive sounding.

i have also reserved the blog at :
---------------------------------------------------
http://sparkleintherainremix.wordpress.com

For now, it will be a private board, for a couple of reasons:

1) To encourage more people that are interested to join it,
because for the last several, a lot of people would visit, but
there was no comments

2) I'm not done yet with all the tracks, and a newer version
might come out at some point in time, which may impact things.
(not sure how much)

3) Copyright concerns, since this is a visible release, i'm not
distributing the tracks, they will be streaming in good quality.

for those interested, please pm me. or go to the site.

i'm not sure, but i think you can request admission to it for their,
and i'll get an email, where i can approve you.

we have a lot to explore and a lot of goodies to check out.
