watched the HBO special this weekend
finally, glad they were honored even though they broke up about 30 years ago !
their influence is undeniable and the tunes are played all the time!
sad, Ben Orr passed away to enjoy the ceremony
Maybe they will do a mini tour since they still sounded great !

I kind of look at r&r hall of fame same way I view the Grammys... nice honor, but not a very valid measure of an act's musical worth. Regardless nice to see the Cars get the recognition. Ditto the comment on Ben Orr.... he was such a good voice for them. And he always looked like a rock god.
People rave about the debut, and heartbeat city's singles were inescapable on the radio, but my favorite cars era is candy-o and panorama hands-down.

glad they got into the ROCK and ROLL hall of fame, which suits them fine.
