New Wave band - The Cats

Does anyone remember the Cats. They put out only one lp I know of back in either '79 or '80 on the Elektra label. It had a great track that got a lot of airplay in Detroit called "It doesn't matter anymore". I remember the cover was black, and it got alot of confusion with the soundtrack from Cats. Although the two were unrelated, the covers looked similar. I saw it filed under soundtracks in numerous used record stores.
