Buzzcocks/Howard Devoto

Postby bowiestation » Mon Apr 26, 2004 3:58 am

Wanted to thank those that recommended Howard Devoto with the Buzzcocks.Ironically,I had that Spiral Scratch ep many years ago, sort of became tired of it,then traded it as I did many albums back then.Forgot about it completely. Now,I wish I still had it.I went to Win MX and was able to grab several tunes from that EP.I forgot just how good it is.I posted two more mp3's in the "Help Me Identify This section" .If anyone might know who the punk band is--I would appreciate it.The other is Theatre of Hate 1981-82 and I forgot the name of the song. One of my dear friends whom I shared much of this music with for years passed away recently and I was going thru some tapes she had made for me.Now,unfortunately,I dont have some of these albums but only tired cassette recordings. So, periodically, I will post these for any help in naming the artist.I do it to also to share the music and keep the memory of my dear friend active. If anyone else has any recommendations, then I'm wide open for suggestions.I plan on locating the Buzzcocks/H.Devoto on cd somewhere down the road. This is such a great site .Thanks again everyone--Tim

The Buzzcocks and Magazine have been dear to me since I was sixteen. I have a lot of material on CD and a rare tape of a vintage San Fran gig I could arrange to copy for you sometime if you'd like.
