I just got vinyl copies of A Split Second's 2 albums (I forget the name of the first one) and "Kiss Of Fury". They were lumped in with all the Wax Trax / Plat It Again Sam industrial bands but they have a much darker, brooding sense to them, much like "Theomania" era Cassandra Complex.

Great topic everyone. Whoever chose Smiling Monarchs and B-Movie was dead on. How about this for some gothic-like New Wave?

1. Vienna, Visions In Blue, and Hymn by Ultravox
2. Missing and Rose Arcana by Arcadia
3. The Power of Love by Frankie Goes To Hollywood
4. Forever Young by Alphaville (slow version)
5. Tainted Love by Soft Cell (especially the extended version where
they mix the Supreme's "Where Did Our Love Go?". Great fade-out
6. The Story of Love by Voice of America
7. The Killing Moon by Echo and The Bunnymen
8. King of Pain by The Police
9. New Religion and The Chauffer by Duran Duran
10. Under The Milky Way by The Church
11. The Way of Life by The Puppets
12. The First Picture of You by Lotus Eaters
13. Everywhere I Go by The Call
14. Fade To Grey by Visage
15. Moments In Love by Art of Noise
16. Doot Doot by Freur
17. Wurthering Heights by Kate Bush.[:p]

I always loved Secession's 'Touch' & 'Michael.'

their 'Dark Enchantment' is phenomenal.

i like wolfsheim, the song "once in a lifetime" is particularly good, but the others off the same CD (spectators) are just as notable.

The 7" version of Wang Chung - Dont Let Go

Also by Wang Chung-
Fire in the Twilight

Two Minds Crack - Love is in Control
Although a little bit Pop sounding...I find it depressing.
