I Beginning To Think This Song Never Existed

Postby Jimbo » Thu Sep 18, 2003 12:04 pm

The Band: Boy Waiting
The Song: Girl Waiting

What is the deal with this one? Was only one record ever pressed of this song and was it pressed out of a solid chunk of unobtainiam?

I have looked and looked from eBay, KaZaa, Soulseek, to trying to find the band members and just ask them directly. I have so totally struck out!

Does anybody have a clue where that thing might be found?

http://www.torchomatic.com/

try asking there. It's a site like this one with weekly posted obscure mp3 of new wave stuff. They have a forum also.

OK, I registered over there (so I can ask my question) and I am waiting to hear from the administrator to see if my account is "approved".
What are they, the high rent BBS? :)

OK, does anybody know how long these people at torchomatic take to get back to you?

It has been a few days, and so for no reply.

I have tried sending him e-mails in the past but I have never received an answer.

Can you e-mail me the folder link so I can check?

Thanks!

The folder i was looking in was his folder in soulseek. he responded and unfortunately told me he never heard of them. he's also unaware of the problem with registration problem for using his board. I'm sure he'll get on it now, now that it's been brought to his attention. hopefully you somehow find it. if you heard it on a radio station i'd try to hunt down the jock who played it or other jocks on alternative 80's rock stations that're famous like new yorks jamie lee who host retro 80's party on saturday night on plj.

Jimbo, My name is Mike Stillwell, Keybord Player for Boy Waiting.Girl Waiting never made it to vinyl. It was the best track we ever recorded. It made it to the KROQ top 100 for years after we broke up. Debbie (the female singer) and I are just finishing up our newest CD. I still have the Master recording of Girl Waiting.
