Dear Alex,

Maybe you and the individuals here at NWO can help me. Back in 2000 there was a mixed compilation on Steet Beat Records called "Modern Mix: 80's Dance Rarities, Vol. 1". Steve Masters did the mixing. I'm familiar with all of the tracks except one. "The Fuzz" by L.A.C. really stood out to me. I would love this track, in its entirety, on a future issue of Retro: Active. The only thing is, I can't find any information regarding this track. Do you or anyone else know anything about this record? And if so, could you try and obtain the rights so we can have it on a future issue of Rare & Remixed. It would be a dream come true for me!!!! This track jams!!!!

Most Sincerely,

Jeffrey

I second that one Jeffrey. I also can`t find any info on them, but would love that track on a RA cd.

All I know is its 3 French producers, Laurent Pautrat, Claude Monnet & Antoine Clamaran. Monnet and Clamaran are still very active in the house scene and The Fuzz seems to be their only release as LAC (Laurent, Antoine, Claude)

Hey Alex,

Thanks so much for the reply. Does it seem likely that we'll ever see this on a future issue? I'm crossing my fingers.

Again, thanks for the info. Your rock!!!!

Wow....

Tribantura-Lack Of Sense That's a cool track, it's not new wave or synthpop alternative style, if I remember it was released on a 12" by ZYX Germany as a Techno New Beat track.

another thing:

Certain Things Are Likely by Kissing The Pink released on a Japanese Compilation http://www.discogs.com/release/552109

Great Mix by Phil Harding

Tribantura "Lack of Sense" I group with the Frankfurt Movement along with:

Moskwa TV
Microchip League
Pluuto
Axodry
Robotiko Rejekto
JWB Hits The Beat
etc.

I have the cd single for Lack of Sense and it is an amazing song. Took me years to find it but it was worth the wait.
