favorite New Wave albums that few people ever heard or never got the widespread recognition they deserved.
Here's a few: Some have made it to CD!
The Drongos - self titled & small miracles (a NZ band)
Guadacanal Diary - all
The Underdogs (a boston band)
The CaveDogs - all (another boston band -incredable!)
Zeitgeist / The Reivers - all
The dB's - all
Marshall Crenshaw - all (just saw him play again this summer, still great)
Midnight Oil - Powderworks (1st lp ROCKS)
The Bongos - (previously mentioned, worth another mention, don't forget Nut's & Bolts by Mastro & Barone)
Tuatara - Flying Nun compilation of NZ bands
Attack of the Killer B's - B-side compilation
Return of the Killer B's - " "(I used to buy a lot of cutout / promo compilations)
Christmas - In Excelsior Dayglo (words can not express...)
Dundin Duel EP - Chills / Sneaky Feelings / Stones / Verlaines (more NZ stuff, 2 EPs, each band got a side)
Separated for special mention:
The Sound - virtually every thing by them (& Adrian Borland before & after the Sound) but specifically: Live Instict EP (just got included as bonus tracks on a reissue) & Shock of Daylight (previously mentioned)
I truly feel The Sound has to have been the most overlooked band of the 80's. I have never met in person anyone who ever even heard of them but glad to see a few of you have! Check out

Sorry for the long post, My 1st!
