The LA's

Inquiries and discussions about new wave artists and what happened to them.

The LA's

Only one great album from 1990 and then nothing. And what a great album it was too.It included their one hit "There She Goes" Did they ever even do a second album is what I would like to know? If they did not too many pressings must have been made, because I never even saw it.It was bad enough when I couldn't find their first album on CD until years later.

What made this band so obscure and hard to find at the time, when they had a hit on the radio at the time? Any word on their whereabouts of today?

PS The tracks Bobby played me as unreleased La's tracks sounded like Lee Mavers had already gone from the line up.

There is another album called Lost LA's - demos/live tracks from the mid eighties before they signed to Go Discs.

I personally cannot stand the Sixpence None The Richer rendition of There She Goes. Makes my ears bleed! [xx(]
