That's a great question.

My answer:

For me it's "Will You Stay the Night" by Comsat Angels.
First time I heard it was at the Malibu in Lido Beach LI in 1983, and when I hear it now I'm right back there.

i love the icicle works... i love fast bass drum of that song...

comsat angels? man, and i thought i knew alot, i have yet to hear their songs...

yesterday i came across this new wave forum of the defunct new wave radio station WXB 102 here in the philippines, although they're no longer on the local radio, they managed to continue their stuff over the net via live365.com.

got to hear for the first time cities in dust by siouxsie and the banshees... wow... that is some song too...

in addition to why i love enjoy the silence, this song just like real life's send me an angel, had many versions... the mike shinoda mix was alright, but kinda had more linkin' park stuff, hehehehe...

lights drop out...
thunder strikes...
seek and destroy...

I'll have to go with Mood Six's cover of I Saw the Light. Never get tired of listening to that power pop classic.
