Billy Satellite was reissued and is still available to buy, probably through amazon, cd universe, etc....it's been reissued at least twice, I believe the last reissue just last year. And I agree, while not new wave, it is very very good.

Funny - if anyone responded to my post I was expecting to hear "who the f*** is Billy Satellite?!?" Instead, I get a helpful post - thanks Counter! I just got it from scAmazon for about $15 shipped, not too bad (actually I love amazon).

Thanks also to Moni - I ordered the Icicle Works two-disc from amazon.co.uk, which oddly was cheaper than ordering it from the U.S. amazon. It'll go nicely with my limited edition 2-CD best of Icicle Works, which I found in a used bin about a decade ago.

That 3-CD limited Icicle Works release the past few years was great to pick up. It's a shame they didn't further fill out the remaining recording space with even more b-sides. They managed to put the original version of Nirvana on there from their early release on Troll Kitchen Records before they signed to Beggar's Banquet. They also included one of those b-sides, Love Hunt, but mysteriously left off the haunting track Sirocco. This was a 7" single with Love Hunt and Sirocco on the flip side of Nirvana, and the sleeve is excellent.
I stumbled upon this '45 in London back in 1984 while visiting friends. They took me to the coolest underground shops, and I found that '45. At the time I knew of their first LP and loved it, so was pretty excited to find that '45. Also ended up picking up a used cassette of their Ascending work, was not great quality but over the years a friend has cleaned it up quite a bit and put it on CD for me.

I'll try to load up that track 'Sirocco' if I can figure out how to do that. How do you make a song show up right in the meaage box where you can play it? I'm a computer illiterate sort of, so it will hopefully be simple.

Vicious Pink - the album + all the single versions
Flesh for Lulu - self-titled first album, with Subterraneans 12"
Shriekback - Jam Science and nicely remastered version of Oil & Gold!
Europeans - Vocabulary and singles
The The - all of the b-sides and rarities, far too many to list
Siouxsie - Song From The Edge Of The World 7" version
Big Country - a GOOD remaster of Steeltown

I totally agree with many of the suggestions already posted, but at least a couple of my favorites haven't been mentioned yet I think.

Until December - Until December
Peter Godwin - Correspondence

If I remember correctly, there was some talk here about a forthcoming Until December release on Wounded Bird, but nothing seems to be happening. I e-mailed Wounded Bird to ask them about it a few months ago but they haven't replied.

And there is also a bunch of awesome non-english language stuff (German, French, Swedish, Spanish) that also deserves a well-made CD-release.

<br>The Sound's back catalogue is out of print excpet for:

Propoganda
The BBC Sessions
The Dutch Radio Sessions (5 discs)

Thunder Up, their final album, is still in print but in its orignal CD release - it has never been remastered and expanded.

Why their back catalogue was allowed to go out of print is a mystery.

Thunder Up still in print? Please let me know where.

For some reason, it's not available on amazon by any sellers at a good price, but you can get it for less than 14 dollars new on half.com:

Here ya go Terry...
In the Collector's Choice catalog: Both albums "The Laughing Dogs" and "The Laughing Dogs Meet Their Makers" are on 1 CD, on the American Beat label. People have been asking when this would be on CD for 30 years now. This is the first official release on CD since the vinyl albums in 1979 and 1980. You can see it or order it here:

You'd think such a high-tech release would've got the proper remastering treatment by now. The existing CD issue sounds terribly flat.

According to the newly updated Trevor Horn website (www.trevorhorn.com) ZTT will be releasing a deluxe reissue of the Buggles' second album 'Adventures In Modern Recording' soon. The sleeve notes are already available now to read on the site.

Now all we need is a decent-sounding / original correct versions etc. reissue of the Bruce Woolley & Camera Club 'English Garden' CD - that would really make my year!

Cheers

Steve

Just a pity Trevor Horn had to resort to working with that twat Robbie Williams[V]

My wishes:
Expanded Editions of the Malcolm Mclaren cds... Including the EP Swamp Thing on CD for first time, 12" versions.. etc

I also agree with alot of what others said.. Prince, Lone Justice

B-52's, not sure about what is up with that.. they have their back catalog at $7.00 listing. Makes you wonder, DEVO approached Rhino to release the last two Devo remasters.. the only 2 still in print in their catalog on WB. The others have been licensed to Collectibles, so I doubt the others will be remastered and expanded since they probably don't think they are popular enough.. but never say never.

INXS reissues.. I wrote to Rhino and asked about reissues of pre-Kick titles and they said they had no plans to do these in the near future. That was when the expanded editions came out. I guess those early albums are not worth it to them to expand.. its sad.

Scritti Politti.. I have wrote Virgin years ago asking for this.. I lost these cds in Katrina, the old cds couldnt handle the mold and disintergrated.
