Anyone remember french singer Ronny ? She had a few minor hits back in the early 80s with If You Want Me To Stay being the most well known. Somehow she was connected to Steve Strange and was part of the whole androgenous circuit. Wonder if there's enough material worthy of a cd.

I know she had a couple of singles that were written by both Midge Ure and Peter Godwin. Because both of their names were attached to certrain songs, I sampled some of her stuff online and it was a little to experimental for my tastes if I remember correctly (she wasn't particularly a singer).

Off the top of my head I don't know if the 12" versions of If You Want Me To Stay (dance mix and full length) are different. So there are only 4 actual songs among that lot, I dare say there were other unreleased recordings which would be great to hear.

If You Want Me To Stay is produced by Midge Ure & Rusty Egan
To Have And Have Not is the Godwin / Kajaneus song
Maybe these could be appended to a 30th anniversary Visage debut album deluxe remaster? I can but dream...

I let made a cd compilation from my record collection which has everything from Ronny on it - as far as I know. Tracklist has no overlaps and looks like that:

she did a great song called "this strange obsession" with Yukihiro Takahashi in 1982.

Yeah, the song "Strange Obsession" is on the Takahashi album "What, Me Worry?". There is a japanese CD version which I got. Nice album - with contributions of Zaine Griff and also Tony Mansfield, I think.
