The Cult and Against Me Live in Concert

Postby coop41 » Tue Jun 26, 2012 2:12 pm

Friday June 22nd 2012 Marquee Theater Phoenix, AZ-
I could have seen Prometheus in Imax 3D three times for the same price but it was worth it.

First band The Icarus Line - nope

Against Me! - This band has really transformed itself over the last couple of years. Super tight, outstanding musicians, their drummer just killed it.

The Cult- Ian Astbury's bold choice of a fur collared coat in 197 degree heat might not have been the wisest one and the dreaded "This is off our new album" was heard a few too many times but all in all a good show. The new record I have listened to like 4 times, one or two ok songs for me.

Here's a slideshow and review and set list from New Times:

Oh, Ian- always such a slave to fashion. The Cult were one of my faves back in the day.

Looks like the photog lost their press credentials and had to shoot from the crowd...
