Unreleased Heroes LP might finally be released!

Unreleased Heroes LP might finally be released!

The UK band, the Heroes, put out an excellent 1980 LP "Border Raiders". But I just discovered that they recorded an 2nd LP, quite different, which was never released. Take a look at the bottom of the following page.

https://sites.google.com/site/marsbardot/heroes

This LP has some great power pop songs, that easily could have hits. For example, "Last Great Summer", "Yeah!", and "Love Pains".

Even the slower songs are great. I.e., "Reasons for Reverse", has a cool new wave vibe, due to added synths (skip the song Company Car, though, as it's not written by Chris Bradford).

The songs from this page are "warm up" versions of the songs from that album, but they sound pretty good to me! However, the producer has the master tapes for the actual LP, and I've been told that if there is enough interest, he is willing to mix the LP and release it. I personally would love to hear higher quality versions. So please give them feedback, using the link at the bottom.

FWIW, see what an early 1990s Chris Bradford sounded like, by going to this web page:

Hi Mark, I helped towards getting the unreleased tracks from "Reasons for Reverse" onto Noisetrade - thanks for bringing it up here, and for the feedback. I understand that Pip Williams has mentioned when he gets around to it, he'll send the "good tape' of the final recording, though I'm not sure what copyright baggage that will come with. Pip is obviously quite a big deal, the studio was top shelf, and there was a shedload of money tied up in the project so it might have too much inertia and loose ends to get released commercially. I'm dead curious though - judging from the warmups, the album could be better even than Border Raiders.
My favorites are "Jumping For Joy" and "Scared Or Brave".. ILS is intriguing…

For a sense of what Heroes were about, check out the very new-wavey schtick of the Bloody Rajah video (band is 3/5ths of The Heroes)

Here's a track from the new album.

It's a bit more new-wave than some of the other tracks: it has a nice punk snarl and some very dubious lyrics....
