Howard Jones BBC 1983

Postby eddie » Tue Feb 07, 2017 2:17 pm

Freshly transferred from a near 34 year old cassette, original radio one session from march 1983 and paris theatre, london 'in concert' broadcast from early october 1983.

there's a second of cb radio interference on one of the session tracks and a few radio dropouts in one track on the concert.

just finishing Glasgow 20 December 1984 fm but as you can imagine with a 33 year old tape it has a few issues which I'm not tech gifted enough to sort but it's more than listenable.

I have Sheffield and London audience recordings from 1987 but Sheffield is a bit rough and incomplete.

totally by accident just chanced upon his 1984 session for janice long's radio 1 show on the end of a completely unrelated cassette. shows the lengths we had to go to to fit stuff on back in the day.

no i'm now retired from uploading too many people who believe that they are entitled to everything for nothing and just go from forum to forum making hundreds of requests.

I'm now just doing stuff for my personal use. Going through vinyl boxes i haven't thought about since 2006 when i boxed stuff up has been a revelation. I'd completely forgotten about the fan club 7 inches that howard used to send out, the live at the marquee disc that came with some early copies of what is love and even the promo LP of high wycombe that i now remember paying about £30 for wayback.
