Jay Som "everybody works"

Postby bpdp3 » Sun Jul 09, 2017 7:23 pm

This album getting talked up in pitchfork and some of the 2017 'midyear best of' discussions I've heard, so I started listening to this out of curiosity. Not bad!

The reason I bring it up here is I notice in several songs what I consider a direct nod to the guitar sound of the Police. This may not seem remarkable but I haven't really heard it used since those records originally came out. Kind of caught me off-guard.

Has anyone else who may have heard this album noticed the same... or am I just going senile?
