Black and white cover is awful, but the tracklisting looks good, although a few mixes that I would like to have are missing.

For instance: Dancing With The Big Boys (Extended Dub Mix), Loving The Alien (Extended Dance Mix)*, This Is Not America (Instrumental).

*Maybe they omitted this one because it sounds too much like the album version, but I don't know. Can anybody tell the difference?

Now include a 2nd "Dance"-disc and I will be ... :D

Damn, but I hate this period of Bowie music! I am morbidly curious to hear the awful "Never Let Me Down" re-imagined, especially with Reeves Gabrels and David Torn taking over from…Peter Frampton. It's possibly the worst of Bowie's albums, but there are a few that vie with it for that status ["Outside" "Let's Dance" "Tonight"]. But not curious enough to drop $100 and change on it! NLMD was infuriating since Bowie seemed to care about his artistic trajectory at the time, but for every good idea, there were 5-6 bad ones crowding them out! Thank goodness Gabrels saved his bacon!

Loving The Alien (12” Dance Mix) is sorely missed. It sounds much better than the standard album version.

Personally i have never been able to get into either Young Americans or Station To Station though the singles from those albums were good. The one Bowie album i do not like is Lodger and i would say that's his worst album.

Pity they have omitted Too Dizzy yet again from Never Let Me Down and i know Bowie didn't like it and asked for it to be removed but the man is dead now and he wouldn't be listening to it anyway even if he was still alive.

A single edit of the new Zeroes is available on JunoDownload and other online stores. And the cover art for that single - in massive 4000x4000 size - is available via the usual iTunes artwork finder website(s).

After nearly 40 years, I am slowly coming to grips with "Young Americans." I used to hate everything but the title track and "Fame" but now I rate about half of it. It helped that the Ryko had bonus tracks [songs removed at the last minute originally to make room for "Fame" and -ech! "Across The Universe"] that were far, far better than much of the album. "stationtostation" was fantastic for me. A perfect pivot from "Young Americans" to the heights of "Low" to come.

I have to say that I totally appreciate the new NLMD artwork. The original just reeked of desperation and overwork! The worst Bowie cover by my reckoning by a mile. If it reflects what has been done to the music… it could be really nice. But I remember Bowie overstating so much of his performance I'm not sure how its level of hysteria could be dialed down. I can easily imagine Laurie Anderson instead of Mickey Rourke [??!] on "Shining Star [Making My Love"]. One of the better tunes there… almost.

Just wanted to say, if anyone who ends up getting this set is not a fan of remixes, I would be very eager to purchase your Dance CD separately!

I got this today. Although it has mostly favorable reviews on Amazon, I wanted to listen for myself and then make a judgement as it contains my favorite Bowie period. Sampled so far Let’s Dance,Tonight, Serious Moonlight (excellent quality) and Never Let Me Down. The studio albums sound richer and slightly bass heavy but not unbearable. The 1999 versions to which I’m comparing these were loud and had the treble tweaked up. Never got the previous Bowie boxsets so this is my first. More to come...
