LAID BACK's first LP (1981) on CD soon

LAID BACK's first LP (1981) on CD soon

Postby discoginfo » Sun Jan 20, 2019 1:44 am

From Laid Back's fb page 19 Jan:
"This year Laid Back celebrate 40 years anniversary. 40 years ago we released our first single, Maybe I’m Crazy on a German label.
It became a hit especially in Denmark. Included on our first album titled “Laid Back” 1981.
First celebration this year; a remastering of “Laid Back” including extra bonus tracks.
Among others, the original first 4 track version of Bolivia.
Will also be available on CD. Stay tuned for more celebrations to come."

Hmm I thought their first single came out 1980?
It was recorded in April/May 1979 though, and mixed etc Sep/Oct 1979.

In any case, great news!
I hope it will include the Original Full Length Vinyl Single Version of "We Don't Do It" and the
Original Full Length Vinyl LP Version of "Take Me Home"

Actually I see now that the digital version has been available since 18 January!
It seems like "We Don't Do It" is indeed the Original Full Length Vinyl Single Version (not the edited)
but "Take Me Home" is the shorter (edited) version, maybe there is something about it they don't like.
Bonus tracks:

11 Maybe I'm Crazy (Single Version) 3:16
12 We Dont Do It 4:19
13 Walk On 3:18
14 New Feeling 3:36
15 Bolivia (4 Track Version) 4:54
16 Keep on Movin (4 Track Version) 4:00
17 Man from the Moon (4 Track Version) 3:43

Still waiting for news on the CD!

28 June seems to be the release date for the CD, as well as for a CD version of their new album

I have avoided wowhd for some years as they ship from Hongkong = high custom fees, but maybe that is not the case in every country.

I've started using them again recently, mainly for US blu-rays. I think everything (for me) gets resposted in the UK. I've not had any customs charges on any orders from them.
