Hello All,

Wow, This is all overwhelming and pretty cool! First off, sorry to those who had issues downloading the large files. This was a first time for me doing something like this so I apologize! Thanks to those for helping others out! Moving forward, I will keep the folders smaller in size but still stay true to the WAV and RAR formats as they deserve to be. Now back to this artwork by AJWAVE (Julio)! They look awesome! Dave (Swerve) and I are totally cool with using your artwork for the entire series. All I ask is that you include him in the loop and have him proof read them before posting. His 80's experience and knowledge is second to none and he's as much to thank for this series as myself! I couldn't have done this without him! With that said, in the coming weeks, I will proceed with the "A Look Back" series (Julio, artwork perhaps?) and include a few surprises along the way which (SWERVE) will let you know about shortly!

Truly humble!

Thanks

Hello all,

Due to the very positive response Paul and I have decided to do another 5 volumes. See track listings below. :D

It will take some time to get all this together but we hope to have 31 to 34 available prior to April and 35 in either May or June.

If I notice any errors in the track listings I will correct that and if AJWAVE ( Julio ) would like to do the artwork for these as well I will CAPITALIZE all of this for him in an e-mail. I believe Paul has reached out to Julio with a PM ( Private Message here at NWO ) for an e-mail contact.

Many of these songs were more recent discoveries over the last 12 years or so thanks to the internet.

The run times are close approximates and once we know the exact lengths we will update those.

We would have included a brilliant unreleased track from Vis-A-Vis titled "Another Time Another Face" but that is apparently coming out this year on a comprehensive release of the back catalogue for all that Vis-A-Vis recorded both released and unreleased.

Happy reading below. :)

Count with me Paul!
i'll send the artworks to Dave too
Although including the information, retouch and cleaning the single pics takes a little bit of time. I´ll try to do it as fast as possible.

I'm designing new covers for the series. These include a 4-page booklet with credits from the artists and the release year, the back and the inlay tray. If someone is interested I can share them as I am sharing the series too

regards

Julio

:D Thank you for doing these, superb compilations :D

Are you planning to do the series as a smaller download, it would be brilliant if you did :)

Paul (Gazebo Music) deserves all the credit; he done all the hard work. He compiled, edited and elaborated all these discs. I'm only sharing them for those who can not download the 20 GB at a time.
I would like to know Paul's opinion about the new design of cd covers

....a silly technical question.....

I have just downloaded the original WAV files and am about to encode them to 320 kbps mp3.
Now that Julio is uploading the FLAC version, I have noticed that those files and just about half the size of the WAV.
Since the FLAC version contains the id3 tag for each song and the WAV version does not, its much easier to simply encode to mp3 without having to copy the files names one by one (quite a lot of files in all 30 volumes).

But, if I encode them all directly from FLAC files to mp3, rather then from WAV files to mp3 (320 kbps) will the quality of those mp3 files be slightly worse than if they were encoded directly from WAV ?

Thanks. :)

Technically no

i'm uploading some pics from the range frequencies using the SPEK on the flac (and flac to mp3), Wav (and wav to mp3) formats

always looks the same (lossless and mp3 formats)

Since nobody else seems to be reporting problems with the heads cut off slightly, I'll have to assume it's just me. I'll open them on a different computer and different playback software and see if that's the issue. Sorry to make you worry, Paul!

As for A Look Back -- I have that series on CD as well...it was great too!

Paul and I have decided to replace:

Directions East - Room Full Of Tears

with:

After This - Fields

mainly due to Directions East never having released the song ( or any songs for that matter ) and only a TV set studio source to work with which we don't feel will result in a high enough standard audio wise.

Check out the video at YouTube of the band performing this song. It really is too bad nothing was released.

I'll update the Volume 35 track listing posted earlier in this thread as a result.

Thanks

"Room Full Of Tears"- great track!

The very beginning sounds quite similar to Obsession - Xymox (the album version).....
