For half a sceond I was excited....but then saw that the remixes and edits and stuff are barely represented and instead disc 2 is a live thing *sigh*

Seriously. Put the missing mixes/edits and the contemporaneous remixed Mesopotamia EP on disc 2 and I'd be all over this.

My thoughts exactly. Cosmic Thing is available in every .99 used CD bin & this 30th Anniversary edition makes the cracked jewel box, wrinkled booklet & scuffed disc seem no less appealing. A disc's worth of live tracks--who cares?! So unfortunate this catalog, as small as it is, has gone neglected.

Agree, they could have just included the live tracks from the EU singles leaving room for more of the other remixes that came out at the time. Bummer.

Live stuff with Ricky? Absolutely - I'd be all over that appended to the 1979-1985 albums but I have very little interest in 90s onward live stuff - anyone know if these are from the same show that provided the b-sides for Love Shack and Roam in the UK?

How about out-takes? How about the early albums that desperately need a sonic upgrade?

A live DVD / blu-ray would be of marginally more interest, appended with the videos and tv appearances. As others have said, Cosmic Thing is a bit like REM's Monster - you can pick it up for pennies pretty many anywhere.

Live tracks are from Aug 1990 in TX so not the tracks used on the EU singles from Dec '89 in OH
