The Minor Detail CD in dispute was a release from Lost 80s Record Company.
There was some controversy if it was a "Bootleg" or not.
Some of us knew it was a bootleg but didn't care because of sound quality and the fact it had never been released in CD form.
The bottom line is there have been several bootlegs masquerading as legitimate CD releases.
None of them have been taken from the master tapes but the sound quality has been excellent on most of them.
Though everyone.ideally, wishes all of the CD reissues would come from "original master tapes",
sometimes even"legitimate" reissue companies use vinyl or MP3s as a sound source.
I guess it depends on the outcome/sound quality and how rare and hard to get the recording is.
