The Unknown Beauty Of The 80's Vol. 94

Postby Rissan » Wed Mar 18, 2020 10:09 am

With this Corona virus thrashing around and half Europe on lock down and working from home I thought I bring you a new Volume of the never ending story of "The Unknown Beauty Of The 80s". And to be honest this one has a bit of a thread. the first New Wave / Synthpop record I bought was in March 1982, when I got the 12" of I Ran by A Flock Of Seagulls. I guess it was the first record I bought not being influenced by a friend or someone from high school.

Already so many volumes behind me I decided to look back at the real early 80's, with even some '79 songs. The total of 25 songs were taken from the period 1979-1982. The second thread is the optimistic and good vibe of the songs. In these uncertain days, we need some light to take us to the end of this Corona tunnel. Cos like a Dutch politician described it tonight: "This virus is not a Chinese virus or French virus or a Dutch virus. It is a pandemic. We are all in the same boat on the unpredictable sea clinically called Covid-19. And we all have to row with the oars we have."

So enjoy this compilation which was a real fun to make.

The tracks:

02. Klang - Beat It (3:07)
03.The Void - Into The Void (3:30)
