Weird decisions again, because it seems there's only the 3CD/DVD and the vinyl option. No 2CD version this time, like One To One.

They usually advertise the 2cd version later, don’t they?

At that price, why bother with a 2CD? If you like Howard Jones, you will buy it regardless. If you dont and lets face it Cross That Line doesnt have popular appeal, I doubt a 2CD would change that.

I'll definitely end up getting it as it's one of his best albums in my opinion. I got the previous three albums which were worth it. Cherry Red have done a very decent job with HJ's catalogue.

At the time, I HATED "One to One", but LOVED "Cross That Line"

"One to One" came off the heels of "Dream Into Action", and I guess that I just expected more.

By the time "Cross That Line" came out, I was in a different place in my life and I appreciated the maturity that this album had.

I can understand that sentiment. A song like ‘you know I love you’ just felt overly reliant on boom-pow production techniques, like it was trying to club you over the head.
(I liked that in something like Art of Noise, but it felt somehow forced on that Hojo album?)

Singles like ‘the prisoner’ were more relaxed, like soup on a cold autumn day...kinda the way “new song” was.

Right there with ya, Spudsy. I liked the first and last tracks (last being Little Bit Of Snow, not the re-recorded No One Is To Blame) and hated pretty much everything in between. It grew on me though OTO is still my least favorite of his albums.
