The Unknown Beauty Of The 80's Vol. 117

Postby Rissan » Sun Jul 26, 2020 8:08 am

Originally planned as Volume 116, but renamed after the whole explanation story of that Volume last week. Already the progressive bands on this Volume were planned, but overall I am very pleased with this Volume, that wears the melodic guidance. Even if it is minimal, synthpop, post-punk, new wave, alternative rock, indie pop or progressive rock it is all centered around the melody.

I thank those who reacted on Volume 116 for their positive input. Since The Obscure 80s being Central in this part of the forum, it always was a gamble how you would react on that volume. But after your positive reactions, I am planning some other thematic Volumes in the near future. For now enjoy this new addition.

The tracks:

01. Marginal Era - This Heaven (radio with picture theme) (3:25)
02. Step Chant Unit - Painting Pictures (4:19)
03. Drama - Daydreamer (breaking away) (4:02)
04. The Metronomes - A Circuit Like Me (3:51)
05. IQ - Passing Strangers (3:47)
06. Musical Chairs - Make A Mess (4:12)
07. 1000 Ohm - I Think She Understood (3:39)
08. Rain People - Little Bit Of Time (3:46)
09. Music For Pleasure - Dark Crash (3:47)
10. LaHost - In The Cold Heat (5:59)
11. Eddie Maelov & Sunshine Patteson - Lines (4:40)
12. Max Meldau - Shutdown (3:46)
13. Mainframe - Radio (will bring me home) (3:08)
14. Jo Broadberry & The Standouts - Sharon Was (4:35)
15. Simonics - In This Heat (3:25)
16. The Hollowmen - Ocean Sigh (4:18)
17. Loose Ties - Take A Ride (3:40)
18. Paul Quinn - Ain't That Always The Way (3:09)
