The Unknown Beauty Of The 80's Vol. 131

Postby Rissan » Mon Nov 02, 2020 6:40 am

As promised today I present to you another thematic Volume. This time I choose for the Mute record label. A label which is very loyal to their artists and artists are very loyal to the label. the best example is Depeche Mode which has been with the label since their start in 1981. But all their members and ex-members are still with the label as solo artists also. You can guess and understand that the result of this Volume offers you a bunch of better known names of the eighties scene, leaving out Depeche Mode, Recoil, Martin Gore and some less topic related artists like Holger Hiller, NON, Smegma, Boyd Rise, A.C. Marias, Bruce Gilbert, Mark Stewart and Diamanda Galas.

Unfortuantly no room for DAF (Deutsche-Amerikanische-Freundschaft), The Normal (the band of label president Daniel Miller), Liaisons Dangereuses, Die Doras & Die Marinas, Yazoo, Sillicon Teens. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Einstürzende Neubauten and Crime & The City Solution,.

The tracks:

01. Duet Emmo - Or So It Seems (9:00)
02. Wire - Ahead (4:59)
03. I Start Counting - Letters To A Friend (3:46)
04. Die Krupps With Nitzer Ebb - The Machineries Of Joy (Die Krupps mix) (4:07)
05. Robert Görl - Darling Don't Leave Me (3:39)
06. Colin Newman - Better Later Than Never (4:22)
07. The Birthday Party - Jennifer's Veil (4:48)
08. Frank Tovey - Bridge St. Shuffle (5:46)
09. Erasure - Heavenly Action (3:21)
10. Robert Rental - Double Heart (2:58)
11. These Immortal Souls - Marry Me (lie! lie!) (4:45)
12. Fad Gadget - Lady Shave (5:47)
13. Scandal ft. Patty Smith - Less Than Half (4:18)
14. The Assembly - Never Never (3:44)
15. Vince Clarke & Paul Quinn - One Day (3:16)
16. Sinitta - So Macho! (3:23)
17. He Said - Pump (2:27)
18. Inspiral Carpets - Sackville (4:59)
