I just emailed the 2 sellers and asked:

Hi CDExpress,

http://www.musicstack.com/item/22801364 ... ision/stay
I see you have a 7" record by Modern Vision - Stay
item Number: 9382835 era
132744
bside : she's waiting belgium pict sleeve 7\"

Is there any way you can listen to the actual 7" record and verify if it's the same song in this mp3 clip:
http://spiritofradio.ca/SongSearch/220.mp3

We are trying to determine if it is the same - if it is, we will purchase the record.

So we will see if they are cooperative.

Hey Dan:

Many of these locations don't keep their inventory on site. I've run across this many times, esp. with sellers in the U.K.: most say it has to do with the size of their shop. High volume items in store, obscure stuff in the warehouse. I've had many vendors pull records to check a b-side or track listing on request; I've even had one seller in Australia research and purchase a record from another vendor for me.

Rockhouse is notorious for their lack of customer service as well as listing things thay no longer have, or must order from a distributor AFTER you pay for an item. They are a poor example of an online seller IMO, and I wouldn't order from them.

Just my 2 cents.

Motors:

BRR is a good outfit, at least from my experience. If memory serves, I've ordered about 6 items from them.

This song has also wrapped its tentacles around me and is slowly sucking out my nutrients.

I don't remember where I saw this, but did I see somebody suggest that it was done by a band called 'Story Structure'?

Arrghgh!...

I too, have become obsessed with this song. And that swimming pool song. They both do sound like icehouse. Has anyone figured out yet whether it's that one band "Modern Vision". Just wondering.

After reading about Dagaband, I don't really expect that it's them.

I posted the information about this song over at http://adtunes.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18150 -- a lot of people check that forum daily, it's another venue to hopefully help us get this song figured out.

Really doubt that it's Spandau Ballet. Much more dark. But I think maybe we're getting somewhere.

yeah, welcome aboard...this has been one of my favorite threads to watch since I've been here...listening to this for the 3000th time this just jumped in my brain....does anybody think this might be some weird Sal Solo thing beyond Classix Nouveau??????

I would think not because if it was somebody would have heard it but the voice has the same kind of style as his...
