OBSCURE bands - any help??

Postby ocean » Fri Feb 27, 2004 12:32 pm

Does anyone know anything about the following bands? I only have a few songs by each and information is non-existant on the web. Any information would be greatly appreciated. All obscure 80's bands ranging from synth to early 80's brit-pop.

QUANGO MOUSE "No Shelter In The City", "Dreamtime Lover"
FRAGILE FRIENDS " Caught On The Hop"
TWO IN A CROWD "Closing In"
SEVEN "Stranger Than Fiction"
I-LANDS "Back Before The Pain", "In The Rain", "Velvet Glove"
DISCIPLINE "Borderline"
EXHIBIT B "It's Hypothetical"
POPULATION R "I Am Blind"

Fragile Friends had at least a couple of other singles (I don't have them):

The Novelty Wears Off and Paper Doll

Exhibit B had an album:

Playing Dead (it's selling at GEMM for over $100!!!)

Besides GEMM if you're interested in other material f

Exhibit B - an excellent band who were indeed from my home town of Liverpool.

I've got the first self titled, self funded cassette album, the 'Playing Dead' LP and a 12" 'Who Killed The Smile'.

Not too sure if there is anything else by them though.

All I can tell you about Population R is that they are from San Francisco (or somewhere nearby). The song you have (I Am Blind) is from the Quake 99 FM Rock of 84 Compilation.

Ths song Caught on the Hop by Fragile Friends is on the EP The Novelty Wear
