Norway-80's

Can someone recommend some English speaking Norwegian stuff (Melodic synthy dance)?

Other than A-Ha, I also know:

Tomboy - album "Back to the Beat" is nice, but not great.... with great song on it "Danger of Love" as well as songs like Fire, Innocent Blue, back to the Beat, People get moving.. are all OK

My fave though is band Avalanche, with Johnny Johnny Come Home... their first self titled album is great and rare, I never heard their second one but it exists. It's like super hi-tech-aor version of Roxette with bigger choruses

Did I milk Norway out of all of its hits... or...?

Of norwegian 80's dancy synth, I would also mention Fra Lippo Lippi.
Listen to: Shouldn't Have to Be Like That or Come Summer (Extended version) Those should make you dance[:D]
And a very hard to get single by CLOCKWORK ORANGE with the overlooked classic song named: Sensation Boys.

Of newer stuff, try the group Zuma.

I would go with a not so new wave band, the Smack. In the sane vein with fellow glam rockers Hanoi Rocks, played fast poser punk rock with rock n roll roots, loved the sleazy way of life and influenced a big part of the then-vast in USA- hair metal scene.Their albums stillhad enough new wave influences and are recommended to anyone likes New York Dolls and British punk.

What about Go? I have an album by them from 1989 called "Voices of Our Fantasy"... very nice light new-wavish synthpop-disco similar to early A-Ha and Alphaville, maybe late Boytronic too, so fans of these might enjoy. Don't know if they're Norwegian or Swedish though. Ereland BALSVIK and Carstein SEEBERG i think the names of 2 guys.

I also heard a song called "Sheila" by 80's band Return. I think they're are 80's melocic rock though. Very nice tune though [:D]

Europeans above 30 years should remember Jan Teigen. He became famous for not receiving a single point from any of the participating nations in Eurovision Song Contest. Jahn is the artist who has taken part in the Norwegian national Eurovision final, the most times, more precisely fourteen; 1974, 1975, 1976, 1978, 1980, 1982, 1983, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1993, 1994, 1996 and once again as late as in 2005.

Anyway, he was asked for grabbing the microphone after Peter Gabriel when he left Genesis. Glad he said no thanks?
