A Brief History & Reflections on New Wave

Below are some song clips of obscurities and lost treasures from vinyl records, representing a sampling of some of the great forgotten music of the new wave era, in my opinion. These clips are long enough to hear the verse and chorus—a vast improvement over the standard 30-seconds-or-less snippets offered by most online music stores—to allow you to determine if the song is of interest to you. Many of these songs are now part of our ever-growing Obscure80's/MFV archive on CD-R or can be found through online music markets like Gemm or MusicStack.

Disclaimer: While I don't want to tempt copyright tanglings, I feel that these songs will have slim to no chance of ever being heard if people aren't given an opportunity to actually hear them (forget the radio!). Most of these songs are only available on deleted vinyl records. Since these are low quality stereo clips, I don't expect record labels to consider this some attempt at music piracy. I've been in contact with several artists featured here and they are more than happy that their music is being given a chance to be heard.
