Song of the Week

For the week of July 24, 2006

The Song of the Week features a rare CD-quality MP3 from the huge volume of late 70's and 80's vinyl obscurities from my collection as well as my friends. Many of these come from albums in our MFV/Obscure80's archive of vinyl albums restored to CDR. You'll find plenty here to enjoy, despite the often unfamiliar names and song titles. Give them a listen ... they deserve to rescued from the vinyl dustbin and heard by a wider audience, and please understand that I make a point of avoiding the obvious smash hits and songs that you can easily find on your average CD compilation.

	Modern Eon were among the early gothic rock innovators back in 1981 when they released their much overlooked and only album, Fiction Tales (on the legendary "futuristic" UK label Dindisc).
