Does anyone know whatever became of this band? The song, "Flippin' To The A Side" is so catchy. I know they released one album. I wonder if it was ever released as a cd??

There's one of them.

Yes, the album came out on CD, but I can't remember if only in Canada or not. My copy is vinyl.

Well, this thread is older than dirt and nobody else apparently cares, but FWIW, I did just find a blog entry from this past spring where Eddy Zeeman posted several comments as "leatherhands."

It cracked me up to see a guy summing up his old group as "that old faggy band of mine."

I had a copy I didn't even know I had. Don't think I've ever listened to it. I seem to remember Flippin' To The A-side...but I don't think I would have bought the lp based on that alone.

Great CD. I believe it was issued in Canada only...I bought the CD on Ebay many years ago not knowing much about the band. Money well spent.

Hi Guys,
It's me, the drummer/vocalist. Thanks for the kind words. We were in our early twenties when we recorded that album; it was culled from a huge library of songs we had written over the years. I actually wasn't happy when the producers picked "Flippin"..I thought it was boring and repetitious! Shows you what I know. We weren't entirely happy with the production either; we felt it didn't really capture our musicianship. The songs were very trimmed down and simplified. In retrospect, I've developed a nostalgic affection for it.
Sony took over CBS and basically kicked all the Canadian acts off the label. I was the drummer for Dalbello for four years, then spent a few years playing with Andy Curran, doing a lot of session work and finally ended up starting a display business. I'm still playing, and have a CD coming out in Toronto (Indy). Check us out at www.lotusmagnet.com It's definitely NOT ccf stuff.
Speaking of the Cats album, I'm currently in the studio experimenting with remastering the original tracks and have talked to the guitarist about recording a couple of new tracks so we can release a 20th anniversary edition on line, but between trying to get the guys excited about it and working out all the legal BS, it might not be worth the trouble. The CD is almost impossible to find as there were very few manufactured (it was primarily released on vinyl and cassette) so I wanted to get it out there for the handful of people who liked it. I'm trying.
Cheers,
Eddie
