I do think the new one will be better than the last one. They've got Thompson again on guitars and it is said that the band will drop the heavy sound they had adopted in their last album and go for sth that is more suitable for dancing.

But better does not mean good... I'm really expecting an effort from the Cure. [;)]

Well, they're getting old. What do you expect?

Thanks Rotator for the correction. Its different here in our country. [:D]

Hey, any members of surviving NW bands are sort of old... and I expect to get the best possible from them.[;)]
Take Depeche Mode as an example, their last album is way too solid in comparison to The Cure's one. [8D]
Or New Order's last album.

I think that even Duran Duran's last album is way better than The Cure's last one.

Surprisingly nobody picks "Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me". There are so many excellent songs in the album: Just Like Heaven, Why Can't I be You, Catch, Hot Hot Hot...

I really can't enjoy The Cure after Wish album.

I met Cure in 1986 with "Head on the door" and then I get the "Standing...the singles" LP. One year later, I listened to the first albums which was obviously different. Around that time, "Kiss Me, Kiss Me" appeared, which I got on tape, I lent on a party and never returned it to me. Great album. I remember the first editions of that CD, the track "Hey you" was not included, because time restrictions. Finally "Disintegration" was the last thing I liked about them. I can't hear "Wish" and the later albums are unbearable for me.

Wish was quite popular. It's more mainstream than most Cure's album. Probably pressuring by the success of Disintegration.

Anyway, still looking forwards to their forthcoming album this year.
