I don't think these have been mentioned yet:
<a href="http://www.theprids.com/" target="_blank">The Prids</a> (like New Order meets My Bloody Valentine)
<a href="http://www.artbrut.org.uk//" target="_blank">Art Brut</a> (raw, catchy powerpop a la Buzzcocks)
<a href="http://www.myspace.com/sovietboy" target="_blank">Soviet</a>
(awesome OMD-inspired electro)
<a href="http://www.theaeffect.com/" target="_blank">The Aeffect</a>
(If you like The Faint, you should like them too)
<a href="http://www.hinthint.org/site/" target="_blank">Hint Hint</a>
(Synth-heavy post-punk with vocals similar to Placebo's.)
<a href="http://www.everymoveapicture.com/" target="_blank">Every Move a Picture</a> Danceable rock from San Francisco.
<a href="http://www.thefeveronline.com/" target="_blank">The Fever</a> (Catchy, punky mix of new wave, glam, hair metal, and powerpop)
<a href="http://morthemvladeart.chez.tiscali.fr/" target="_blank">Morthem Vlade Art</a> Excellent European dark electro.
<a href="http://www.misskittin.com/" target="_blank">Miss Kittin</a>
(Miss Kittin and the Hacker is one of the greatest retro-sounding albums out there, especially if you love robotic/monotone female vocals)
<a href="http://www.lostsounds.net/" target="_blank">Lost Sounds</a>
One of my personal favorite bands. Extremely raw, loud garage-synth (?) music. If you like The Screamers or Nervous Gender, check them out.
<a href="http://www.theepoxies.com/" target="_blank">The Epoxies</a>
Just plain awesome. Their live shows feature a keytar, lasers, and lots of retro clothing and duct tape.
<a href="http://www.movingunits.net/" target="_blank">Moving Units</a> (incredibly danceable post punk with awesome basslines (think Gang of Four's Damaged Goods)
<a href="http://www.thelovemakers.com/" target="_blank">The Lovemakers</a> I cannot say enough good things about these guys. They're a local synthpop band (local to me anyway; from Oakland) who are blowing up here and soon all over the country. And they started out as essentially a Cure cover band. If you live in LA or the Bay Area, they have residencies at Club Moscow in Hollywood and Cafe DU Nord in SF... easily one of the most fun live shows around!
...and I'll be seeing <a href="http://www.lostdetective.com/" target="_blank">My Favorite</a> on Friday. They sound like Belle and Sebastian gone new wave.
