NEW YORK, NY (April 18, 2006): Posh Nightclub at The Garden City Hotel is pleased to be hosting Party Out of Bounds: Malibu Sue’s Radio Reunion, on Friday, May 12th, 2006 – Doors open to the public at 9PM. Party Out of Bounds is a celebration of the new wave and alternative music first introduced to the nation on the World Famous 92.7.

This event will bring the legacy full-circle: the sub-basement of the historic Garden City Hotel was once home to the 92-7 studios. Many of the original DJ’s from 1970 through 2004 (when the frequency switched to the current Spanish-language broadcasting) will be attending this long-awaited event.

The evening’s host, Malibu Sue, was on the air at 92-7 from 1983 until 2004. During that time, she became a New York area legend and a fixture in the new wave scene. Her loyal fan base can still hear her today on 94.3 WMJC-FM (Island 94.3), where many of the former staff landed after 92.7 switched formats. The evening will be co-hosted by Denis McNamara (the former program director responsible for creating the alternative music format now heard across the country and currently the co-president of McNam/Modulus Media, an internationally known music and media consulting firm), Larry the Duck (now a DJ on Sirius Satellite Radio’s "First Wave" channel), Maxx The Mighty Maximizer, (currently a renowned music video programmer), and Andre (heard on 107.1 in Hampton Bays).

In addition to the guest air personalities, Fred Schneider of The B-52’s will be a featured DJ and host, spinning the music that defined a generation. The B-52’s are currently recording their new studio album, and are gearing up for a tour later this year, though they are best known for such hits as "Love Shack" and "Rock Lobster," both of which were first heard by many New Yorkers on 92.7. Fred Schneider has kept the new wave tradition and spirit alive onstage and on Sirius Satellite Radio’s "First Wave" station, where he hosts the Party Out of Bounds show every Friday night. More exciting special guests will be announced soon – stay tuned!

In addition to the music guests will have a chance to meet their favorite DJ’s, club/concert scenesters, and music devotees, as well as experience a multimedia presentation featuring archived pictures, concert clips, and rare & nostalgic sound bytes. Tickets are $20 in advance, and will be on sale Friday, April 21, 2006, through What’s Good Live’s website (www.whatsgoodlive.com <http://www.whatsgoodlive.com/>) and at the Posh nightclub door on the evening of the event. This is a one time gathering many of the key people who created and defined the new wave / alternative/modern rock scene. Don’t miss this party!

Posh Nightclub is located in the luxurious Garden City Hotel – 45 Seventh Street in Garden City, Long Island, New York. For directions and information, visit www.gardencityhotel.com <http://www.gardencityhotel.com/>.
