FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: SEMINAL INDUSTRIAL BAND RETURN TO THE STAGE AFTER 7 YEAR HAITUS!

FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY invades New York City, for their first NYC Show in 7 years, along with support from STROMKERN, CONJURE ONE, and DJ?ACUCRACK.

BROOKLYN, NY – Metropolis Records recording artist Front Line Assembly have announced that they will be touring in conjunction with the release of their new album Artificial Soldier. The tour will invade New York City on June 24, 2006 at the old Sound Factory Club, now known as PACHA - which will be hosted and produced by TERMiNALTHUNDER Presents. The newly rejuvenated FLA sees founder Bill Leeb working together with ex-members Rhys Fulber, and Chris Peterson, along with new member Jeremy Inkel. The quartet plans to take the world by storm with their blistering new album and first tour in eight years. The Artificial Soldier Tour promises to be FLA’s highest attended tour ever. Fans are flooding online message boards and buzzing about the tour in clubs across North America.

The newly re-formed line-up managed to make Artificial Soldier a release that no only lives up to the expectations of Front Line Assembly fans, but surpasses them. Heavy pounding beats, atmospheric strings, percolating melodies, dynamic synths and Bill Leeb’s trademark vocals couldn’t be fused together any tighter if you tried to do it at an atomic level. As if all of those factors weren’t enough, two guest vocalists appear on Artificial Soldier – Eskil Simonsson from Covenant (on “The Storm”) and Jean-Luc De Meyer from Front 242 (on “Future Fail”)! Artificial Soldier is one album not to be missed for 2006 or any year for that matter.

Front Line Assembly is the primary focus of Vancouver based musician Bill Leeb. A founding member of Skinny Puppy, Leeb moved on to form FLA in 1986 with Michael Balch, who has since left the band. Over the past two decades, FLA has had a revolving roster of members, including Rhys Fulber and Chris Peterson, accompanying Leeb. FLA garnered notoriety with many of their albums including Tactical Neural Implant, Millennium, and Hard Wired.

STROMKERN
www.stromkern.com
Fusing hip-hop vocals and rhythms with the majesty of 19th Century classical compositions and the furor of post-industrial rock. Stromkern have been carving out a unique sound for over a decade. Founded by J. Ned Kirby in the early 1990s, initial releases (such as the 1997 debut Flicker Like A Candle) were heavily influenced by the danceable sounds of the European electro scene, but already the influences of Ned's classical training and love of hip-hop and noise were readily apparent, especially on tracks like the international hit "Heretic". The follow-up album, 1999's Dämmerung im Traum, was a more experimental affair, blending orchestral arrangements with minimal techno elements.

TERMiNALTHUNDER Presents.

I once sold an extra copy of Fad Gadget's Gag cd to J. Ned Kirby of Stromkern. Yeah I know, but at least somebody replied. [:D]

I loved FLA's "Caustic Grip" LP. I saw them on tour and walked out in the middle of it. There was just no energy in the performance. A few years later I went to see them again hoping that the first time was just a fluke. Unfortunately it wasn't and I left during the 3rd song.

But I still like their records.
