I assumed the op was just clowning around with the myspace comment, you know, by taking other contextual comments by the op into account and formulating a relativistic perception of actual intent, etc...that's just me though.

I believe the original myspace comment was a tongue-in-cheek reference to this:http://www.nwoutpost.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=23361&whichpage=1

LOL. Maybe if someone makes a fat joke we can get some worthy commentary from MFAB.

Really?

Anyway, to the point, if you watched the Glastonbury video, their sound and performance is miles away from their bubblegum, Hot Topic image, as is their new CD. You have admitted in other threads how you hate 95% of new music and that you never listen to it, so my thought was you have such a dislike for stuff you never hear, which I find funny, considering your tastes in music appear to be Top 40 80's stuff, which is great, tons of great music there. I'm just guessing there may have been some classic rock dudes at that time mocking all that current new wave crap and saying 20 years from now no one will have ever heard of Flock Of Seagulls, which obviously, is incorrect,(although I'm guessing if it weren't for I Ran, most would not remember them at all - Hey, they are one of my favorites!). So at the risk of sounding like the grumpy old dude, criticizing all the new music that the kids are flocking to, you might want to pause and think about where you were at 20 years ago and how far those bands have come and retained their popularity. Panic At The Disco, while maybe not your favorite (and definitely not mine), are extremely popular and have some damn fine pop songs.

Who knows, maybe someday someone will post Fall Out Boy's version of Beat It on a web forum because they loved the song so much.

This is the kind of garbage I'm talking about when i speak of "current music". This has to be one of the biggest piles of shit for a song I've ever heard. Not to mention, it'd be nice if anyone can explain WTF it is she's talking about? don't get me wrong, there are tons of songs that make no sense, even in our genre, but this has to be one of thee WORST ever, Seriously, I have no idea how something like this gets on the airwaves, or how anyone with an IQ over 9 would buy this:

Unfortunately, due to my work, I have the UN-pleasure sometimes of listening to ALOT of horseshit music, that makes no fucking sense. Well, tonight is no exception, so I had to play this extremely shitty song for this whore who bugged the shit outta me to play it for her right. Now, the song wouldnt be so bad if you could understand WTF she's saying/talking about, but no one does. It's basically, in the "makes no fucking sense/useless song" category, I find myself putting alot of fucking songs into lately. Anyways, check out the stupid lyrics to this monstrocity(sp), and someone try to explain exactly WTF it means and/or WTF she's saying?

A better question to ask yourself is: HOW THE FUCK DO PEOPLE LIKE THIS GET RECORD DEALS?

Paramore - Crushcrushcrush lyrics

I got a lot to say to you
Yeah, I got a lot to say
I noticed your eyes are always glued to me
Keeping them here
And it makes no sense at all

One thing's for certain: YOU make no sense at all

QUOTE
They taped over your mouth
Scribbled out the truth with their lies
You little spies
They taped over your mouth
Scribbled out the truth with their lies
You little spies

HUH?

QUOTE
Crush
Crush
Crush
Crush, crush
(Two, three, four!)

Oh goody...you can count!

QUOTE
If you want to play it like a game
Well, come on, come on, let's play
Cause I'd rather waste my life pretending
Than have to forget you for one whole minute

HUH? what is she "pretending"?

What game and what are you playing exactly?

QUOTE
They taped over your mouth
Scribbled out the truth with their lies
You little spies

Scribbled out the truth with their lies

Again: HUH?-sorry I'm lost here

QUOTE
Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone
Just the one-two of us, who's counting on
That never happens
I guess I'm dreaming again
Let's be more than this now

I still dont understand, should I?

QUOTE
Rock and roll, baby
Don't you know that we're all alone now?
I need something to sing about
Rock and roll, hey
Don't you know, baby, we're all alone now?
I need something to sing about
Rock and roll, hey
Don't you know, baby, we're all alone now?
Give me something to sing about

You make no sense,...no you dont nonsensical girl,...you make no sense, no you dont nonsensical girl.

Paramore couldn't carry Panic At the Disco's jockstraps. Hopefully you knocked that girl off her roller skates.
