New Wave Outpost Forum

Just saw them last night at The House of Blues in San Diego.....I'd never seen them before, and they were really brilliant. They opened with a cover of the smiths "I Started Something I coudn't Finish" and then into "Baby Oh No" "Louis Quatorze""See Jungle! (Jungle Boy)" "Do You Wanna Hold Me" etc etc....Annabella (now only 41!) looked beautiful in a blue wig (?)....I was about to not go to this show, but Im glad I did....

Good show to see rotator! How was their sound?

I saw them on Holloween@LA. They were with When in Rome, A Flock of Seaglls, and Devo. Annabella wore that wig beacuse she was on the soundtrack of the movie Marie Antounete.[:)]

Justin, I just read your story, how cool to meet them and actually have a conversation with them and not be rushed in 10 or 20 seconds!

I saw the first BWW reunion tour in 1998(?) or so. At least I saw the first 5 songs of the set, then I had to leave. I've made no bones about my infatuation with Anabella over the years (along with Ms. Kim Wilde), and lets just say that for the second song and half of the 3rd song she "fell out" of her tube top, thereby fulfilling the fantasy of the 14 year old boy that is still trapped deep inside me somewhere.

Yeah, its sexist and crass and all, but hey, it was a cheap thrill!

It was a fun show!
