AIR in NYC

Postby MARV » Mon May 07, 2007 11:25 pm

This Thursday, May 10:
AIR performs
at the Theater at
Madison Square Garden
- TV on the RADIO
Just Added to Line Up!

Air returns to North America after 3 years with a stop in NYC to play The Theater At MSG with Kate Havnevik this week!

Although Air's music is often referred to as electronica or trip-hop and is often found in such areas in record stores, their form of electronic music actually owes more to the synthesizer sounds of the 1970s. Other styles one can see as influences to Air include: house, techno, and psychedelic rock. Air's jazz influences are shown as their ability to improvise is highlighted in the live arena.

The Brooklyn-based group TV on the Radio will perform a very special acoustic set at this event! The group typically mixes post-punk, electronic, and other atmoshperic elements in such a creative way that it only makes sense that its core duo, vocalist Tunde Adebimpe and multi-instrumentalist/producer David Andrew Sitek, are both visual artists, as well as musicians.

Don't miss this incredible evening - Air with Kate Havnevik and special guests TV on the Radio at The Theater At Madison Square Garden on May 10!
